The XT Control Panel

The XT control panel is a Videofied wireless, battery operated hybrid alarm system. It is designed for residential and small business security applications, as well as both indoor and outdoor commercial applications (construction sites, cell tower, remote sites, substations…).

XT can be used as a standalone alarm system or can be integrated into an existing alarms system as an upgrade to Videofied features and technology.

XT has programmable inputs and outputs (outputs available Q1 2011). Programmable inputs and certain event types can be configured to capture video from a MotionViewer device using the mapping feature.

The control panel has two easy to access external connectors for upgrading GPRS and RF antenna connections.

Supervised Wireless Technology

The XT GPRS, along with all Videofied devices utilize patented S2View® – Spread Spectrum, Videofied, Interactive, AES Encrypted Wireless technology, providing optimum signal integrity and security. Bi-directional RF communication paths between all system devices and the system control panel assure high signal reliability. Integrated antennas eliminate protruding wires or rods cumbersome to install and unsightly to consumers, and if damaged could lead to potential system communication problems.

The panel supervises every device (excluding the remote keyfob) to validate current open/close state, tamper condition, serial number, date of manufacture, firmware revision, and battery status.

The MotionViewerTM DCV is a battery operated, wireless indoor motion-activated video camera designed for use in VIDEOFIED® security systems. Motion-activated cameras are intended for applications where video verification of intrusion alarms is necessary or desired.

The DCV consists of a digital camera, a passive infrared motion detector, and S2VIEW® spread spectrum, videofied interactive, encrypted wireless circuitry for secure two-way communications with the control panel. The camera consists of aCMOS black and white sensor and an 85°, wide angle lens. Two infrared LEDsprovide a night illumination distance of approximately 4.5 meters/14 feet. For motion or movement detection, a fresnel lens inside the cover captures a 12 meters/ 40-foot wide, 90° angle passive infrared pattern. The base allows for corner mounting. A dual tamper function provides for both wall and cover tamper detection.

The camera is typically installed to cover entire rooms, hallways, stairwells, and other similar areas where broad viewing/detection coverage is needed. When the alarm system is armed and the motion detector senses motion or movement, the detector transmits a signal and activates the camera, which captures a 10-second digital video segment. The control panel receives the signal and responds according to system configuration/programming.

The alarm and video segment are reported via the control panel to the central monitoring station, and can also be sent to Email addresses for viewing. The detector is powered by three lithium batteries that can last up to four years, depending on the amount of detector activity.

The detector transmits a check-in signal every eight minutes that includes its unique identification code along with the current detection sensor state, tamper condition, serial number, date of manufacture, software revision, and battery status.

The keypad allows complete alphanumeric programming of all system settings/parameters in VIDEOFIED® security systems. S2View® spread spectrum, videofied, interactive, encrypted wireless circuitry effectively makes the keypad a mobile programmer that can be used anywhere within the installation site during system programming. Easy to understand display text guides you through programming, prompting you for simple yes/no or data entry responses. The left and right arrow buttons cycle through menus or values until the desired choice is displayed. Alphabetical entries are done using the 0 – 9 buttons and can be in lowercase, uppercase, or a combination of both. Complete punctuation symbols are also available for data entries such as website/IP addresses and component location naming.

Arming/disarming the system with the keypad is easy. For example, the 1 and 2 buttons just below the display can be programmed to arm a specific part of the premises just by pressing the button once, then it will prompt you for your code. The house outline button just below the display can be used to arm the perimeter device of the premises in the same manner.

The keypad is typically installed near entry/exit doors to allow system users enough time to arm and exit the premises, and to enter and disarm the system before time delays expire. When the system is armed, the built-in sounder emits a series of exit delay beeps to remind the user to exit before the beeps stop. Upon entering the armed premises, the built-in sounder emits entry delay beeps to remind the user to disarm the system to avoid an alarm. A dual tamper function provides detection for both keypad cover and wall tamper.

The keypad is powered by three lithium batteries that can last up to four years or more, depending on the amount of keypad activity. The keypad transmits a check-in signal every eight minutes that includes its unique identification code, along with the tamper condition, serial number, date of manufacture, software revision and battery status. You can install up to three keypads on a system.

The Door Contact Models CT 701 are battery operated, wireless door contacts designed for use in VIDEOFIED® security systems. Door contacts are intended for use in detecting the opening and closing of doors, windows, or cabinet doors/drawers.

The CT 701 consists of a switch detector with S 2View® spread spectrum, VIDEOFIED®, interactive, encrypted wireless circuitry for secure two-way communications with the control panel. A dual tamper function provides detection for both wall and cover tamper. The transmitter is typically installed on the stationary surface of an opening (door frame or window frame), while the magnet is installed on the door or window. With the door or window closed, the magnetic field forces a reed switch inside the detector to close, creating a secured condition. When the alarm system is armed and the door or window is opened, the detector transmits an open signal. The control panel receives this signal and responds according to system configuration/programming.

The external input terminals accept a normally closed remote switch. You can also connect a dry closed circuit (no power) from standard hardwire intrusion or smoke/heat detectors. An internal jumper selects the sensors mode of operation, whether the internal reed switch, external input, or both are active.

The detector is powered by one lithium battery that can last up to four years, depending on the amount of detector activity. The detector transmits a check-in signal every eight minutes that includes its unique identification code along with the current alarm state, tamper conditions, serial number, date of manufacture, software version and battery status.

XL700 GPRS

The control panel is designed for residential and small commercial security applications where video verification is needed or desired.

The control panel is powered by eight 1.5-volt alkaline batteries that last up to four years, with normal system activity. A built-in siren provides status beeps. The embedded cell modem communicator reports to the monitoring station and and enables 2-way voice communication over cell to the monitoring station.

A dual-tamper function is active 24 hours, whether or not the system is armed. An alarm occurs if the control panel cover is removed, or if the control panel is removed from the mounting surface.

With the embedded touchpad the user can arm, disarm the system and review past events and system status. Under the TouchPad an integrated proximity card reader that can be used to arm and disarm the system without using theTouchPad. The proximity card/tag arming system is designed to maximize operator convenience.
